Black Stars defender Alidu Seidu believes his team will compete in the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar in 2022.

The Black Stars’ penalty shootout loss to Uruguay in 2010 put a stop to Africa’s hopes of having a team to the semifinals.

However, Seidu has tipped the West African country to reach the final or at the very least the last four with a return to the Mundial.

Speaking on Star Connect which aired on Joy Prime TV, the 22-year-old said, “They say African teams have never been in the semi-finals. My prediction is that if we don’t get to the final, we will get to the semis.

“I think we will get to the final or semi-final,” he stressed.

Seidu will hope to be part of that history with Otto Addo set to announce his final squad on Monday, November 14.
