Ghana’s goalkeeper Richard Ofori has reported picked up fresh injury in South Africa ahead of his team’s game tomorrow in the Soweto derby.
According to reports in South Africa, the Ghana International is among players injured and out of tomorrow’s clash against Kaizer Chiefs FC.
Ofori recently returned from injury to play for his team Orlando Pirates FC in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa and helped the team to win the MTN – 8 competition in South Africa.
The extent of his injury is not known yet but he is expected to be out of the match tomorrow as he reportedly didn’t train with the team today.
Ofori is Ghana’s second choice goalkeeper currently with Joseph Luke Wollacott preferred by head coach Otto Addo and is expected to be named in Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s final 26 man squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
