Talented Ghanaian forward Michael Adu-Poku, made his Watford senior debut on Saturday 7th January, 2023 in their Emirates FA Cup loss to Reading FC.
Adu-Poku, 17, from the club’s Academy was offered the opportunity to play his first Watford FC senior team game in the FA Cup match which featured some young Academy players by manager Slaven Bilić.
Goals by Kelvin Abrefa and Shane Long prove the difference as Reading posted a deserving 2:0 victory against Watford.
Watford after exiting the competition, will now shift attention to their Sky Bet Championship game against Blackpool next Saturday (January 14).
Adu-Poku was born in England to Ghanaian parents and could represent Ghana in future if he excels in his football career.
