Former WAFA midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has emphasised his readiness to compete for a starting spot at Red Bull Salzburg despite the fierce competition.
Since moving to the Austrian side in February last year, the youngster has struggled for game time with the senior team and was immediately loaned to Liefering to earn more minutes.
Agyekum is back with Salzburg after a successful loan spell and after making his league debut, he says he is ready to compete for a place in the first team.
“I know there will be a lot of competition in the team but I am ready,” the 19-year-old told Joy Sports in an interview.
“I am always ready even if it’s a minute I will get to play [and] I am ready to put in all my effort to help the team win.”
Prior to joining Salzburg, the midfielder played for WAFA in the Ghana Premier League.
