American-born Ghanaian defender Devon Amoo-Mensah turned in a commanding performance, delivering a crucial assist to help Detroit City FC earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw with North Carolina FC in the USL Championship.
The 24-year-old Amoo-Mensah started and played the full 90 minutes at WakeMed Soccer Park, showcasing his exceptional playmaking skills in a tightly contested match.
Despite North Carolina FC’s early red card, Amoo-Mensah’s vision and precision proved vital as he set up Victor Bezerra for the equalizing goal in stoppage time.
Amoo-Mensah’s assist marked his second of the season, highlighting his consistent form over 17 games.
Ghanaian striker Elvis Amoh also made an appearance for Detroit City FC, playing 62 minutes.
