Jordi Osei-Tutu has officially joined Bolton Wanderers FC on a two-year deal. The 25-year-old wing-back arrives from VfL Bochum, marking the club’s seventh signing of the summer. His addition is expected to strengthen the team’s wide areas as they prepare for the new season.
Jordi’s football journey began at Reading before he caught the attention of Arsenal’s academy in 2015. Known for his attacking flair and tenacity, he earned a spot in Arsenal’s first-team squad for several pre-season tours and was even on the bench for a few Premier League games, including a match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
His development was further shaped by loan spells at Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest in the Championship, as well as a successful stint at VfL Bochum in Germany. During the 2019-20 season, he scored five goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances, leaving a strong impression that led Bochum to sign him permanently in 2022.
Jordi also played a key role in Rotherham United’s promotion to League One during the second half of the 2022/23 season. His standout moment came when he scored a 96th-minute equalizer at Wembley in the Papa Johns Trophy final, helping Rotherham secure the trophy.
Now at Bolton Wanderers, Jordi brings with him experience from across Europe and the top three tiers of English football. As he enters his prime years, his ability to play on both sides of the field is expected to add quality and depth to the squad.
