Serie A club Torino has decided to send their promising Ghanaian youngster, Joseph Osei Opoku, on a one-year loan to Serie D club Vado FC.
The purpose of this move is to provide Opoku with valuable experience and further enhance his skills, as he aims to secure a chance to play for Torino’s first team in the future.
Opoku, who emerged from division two side EurAfrica, joined Torino’s U19 squad last season after impressing during his time at the Fox Academy in England.
During his stint with Torino’s Primavera U19 division, the 19-year-old defender featured in 18 games and remarkably scored two goals.
Scouting reports from a player database have lauded Opoku’s performances in various aspects of the game. His positioning, vision, recovery, offensive contributions, and one-on-one duels have all received ratings above 6/10, showcasing his overall prowess on the field.
The loan spell at Vado FC in Serie D provides Opoku with a valuable opportunity to gain more playing time and develop his character as a player.
