Hearts of Oak has officially announced the transfer of defender Konadu Yiadom to FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, a Ukrainian Premier Liga side.
Konadu Yiadom, a lanky centre-back, spent just one season with Hearts of Oak after joining from WAFA SC on a three-year contract ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
During his time with the Phobians, Konadu scored two goals in 18 Ghana Premier League appearances. Now, at 23 years old, the Black Galaxies defender has the opportunity to kickstart his career in Europe with this move.
The club confirmed Konadu’s departure through their social media channels on Wednesday. He had joined Hearts of Oak in 2022 after parting ways with WAFA, signing a three-year contract.
In his new club, FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, Konadu will be joining forces with Daniel Sosah, a Ghanaian-born Niger international striker who has been with the Stadion Metalurh outfit since 2022. FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih has been competing in the Ukrainian Premier Liga for the past two years.
The move to the Ukrainian Premier Liga presents an exciting new challenge for Konadu Yiadom as he embarks on the next phase of his football career in Europe.
