Ghanaian defender Nasiru Moro was instrumental in Degerfors’ 4-1 victory over Örgryte in the Swedish Superettan on Saturday afternoon.
Prior to this match, Örgryte had a slight edge in their head-to-head record with 7 wins compared to Degerfors’ 5, along with 3 draws. However, Degerfors dominated this game, creating more scoring opportunities than their opponents.
Moro started and played the entire match. Degerfors took an early lead with Gustav Lindgren scoring in the 10th minute. Örgryte’s Esi Sylisufaj equalized in the 48th minute, but Nasiru Moro quickly responded by restoring Degerfors’ lead in the 52nd minute, marking his first goal of the 2024 Swedish Superettan season.
Degerfors maintained their pressure, and substitute Dijan Vukojevic sealed the victory with two late goals in the 79th and 90th +4 minutes.
Looking ahead, Degerfors will face IK Brage in their next league match on May 23rd, aiming to continue their strong form with Moro and his teammates leading the charge.
