Ghanaian defender Samuel Sarfo has completed a move to Saudi Arabian Second Division club Najran Sports Club, signing a one-year contract following the expiration of his deal with Al Taraji.
Sarfo, a former Liberty Professionals centre-back, has spent the past six years playing in the Gulf Region, representing several clubs, including Saudi Pro League side Al Khaleej. His vast experience in the region makes him a valuable asset for Najran as they aim to return to the First Division after being relegated last season.
In an official statement, the club confirmed the signing: “The management of Najran Club, headed by Mr. Hadi bin Hamad Al-Kulaib, has completed the procedures for contracting with Ghanaian international defender Samuel Sarfo to represent the first football team for the 2024-2025 season.”
Expressing his excitement about the move, Sarfo shared a message of gratitude on social media: “Thank you, Holy Spirit,” celebrating his new chapter with Najran SC.
Sarfo is expected to play a pivotal role in solidifying the club’s defense as they push for promotion back to the top tier of Saudi football.
