In a thrilling Estonian Cup encounter on Wednesday evening, Paide Linnameeskond triumphed 3-1 against Nõmme Kalju, with Ghanaian defender Abdul Yusif showcasing his prowess by netting one of the crucial goals.
Yusif’s stellar performance saw him dominate the pitch for the full 90 minutes, alongside his fellow Ghanaian teammate, midfielder Thomas Agyepong, who put in a solid 62-minute stint.
Despite Nõmme Kalju taking the lead with Promise David’s 27th-minute strike, Paide Linnameeskond rallied back fiercely. Yusif leveled the scoreline in the 52nd minute, followed swiftly by Robi Saarma’s 54th-minute goal, propelling their team into the lead. Predrag Medić sealed the victory with a goal in the 94th minute, securing Paide Linnameeskond’s triumphant path.
Throughout the match, both teams executed strategic substitutions, with Paide Linnameeskond making six changes and Nõmme Kalju making five. Notably, Karl Mööl replaced Agyepong for Paide Linnameeskond in the 62nd minute, while Nõmme Kalju opted for a triple substitution in the 61st minute.
