Ghanaian duo Michael Baidoo and Jalal Abdullai made a significant impact on Sunday as IF Elfsborg came from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Kalmar FF in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Both players earned spots in the starting eleven for their club in the Week 25 encounter of the league campaign. The match began with a bright start for the hosts, who took the lead just four minutes into the first half with a strike from Dino Islamovic.
However, Elfsborg responded swiftly, leveling the score just four minutes later thanks to an own goal from Lars Saetra. In a pivotal moment during the first half, Ghanaian winger Jalal Abdullai put Elfsborg ahead with a goal in the 40th minute, allowing them to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.
The second half saw a fierce contest, but in-form Michael Baidoo sealed the victory for Elfsborg with a goal in the 86th minute, finalizing the score at 3-1.
