Ghanaian emerging talent Henry Addo made a crucial contribution to MŠK Žilina’s triumph as they secured a 3-2 victory against Zlate Moravce in the fifth round of the Slovakia Super Liga.
The 20-year-old entered the field as a substitute in the 59th minute and played a pivotal role in setting up MŠK Žilina’s second goal at the Pod Dubnom.
Zlate Moravce took the early lead just 14 minutes into the match courtesy of Karol Mondek, who was assisted by Roman Cerekpai for the opening goal.
In the 26th minute, Karol Mondek struck once again to double Zlate Moravce’s advantage, with Roman Cerekpai providing the assist once more.
With only six minutes remaining in the game, substitute Henry Addo played a key role in assisting Adams Kopas to score the equalizing goal.
In the seventh minute of added time, Eric Bille secured the decisive winning goal for MŠK Žilina, sparking exuberant celebrations among the home fans.
This significant victory propels MŠK Žilina to the summit of the league standings, having amassed 12 points from five matches. Meanwhile, Zlate Moravce remains in the 11th position with just one point to their name.
