Ghanaian forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu netted his 6th league goal of the season for Rio Ave FC against FC Leixoes away from home.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian striker joined the Portuguese Secunda Liga side on loan from Vitória Guimarães after helping Estoril Praia SAD gain promotion into the Liga Portugal last season.

Brazilian attacker David Samuel Custódio Lima Pastor broke the deadlock to give the home team the lead on the 31st minute mark with a beautiful strike.

On the stroke of half time whistle, Portuguese player Joao Oliveira made it 2-0 to Leixoes FC.

Seven minutes after the hour mark, the Ghanaian striker scored with a sumptuous finish to half the deficit for the visitors with over 20 minutes left on the clock to play.

Ronan David Jerônimo grabbed the equalizer for the Green and Whites outfit with seven minutes to the end of the match to snatch a point for the visitors on the 83rd minute mark.

Abdul-Aziz Yakubu has six goals in the league and four in Cup games making his total goals contribution 10 this season in Portugal.
