The Ghanaian attacker was on target in the Chinese Super League on Wednesday afternoon at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium when Wuhan Three Towns posted a 4-2 victory over Henan FC.
Prior to the game, the head-to-head record between the two teams stood at one win each and one draw for Wuhan Three Towns and Henan FC.
Abdul Aziz Yakubu commenced the match and remained on the field for 58 minutes, during which Henan FC maintained a significant amount of possession throughout the entire 90 minutes.
Wuhan Three Towns secured an early lead in the 12th minute through Nicolae Stanciu’s right-footed shot from the left side of the box, finding the bottom left corner. The goal was set up by He Chao.
Henan FC responded in the 54th minute with Zhong Yihao’s left-footed shot from the left side of the box, finding the top left corner to level the score at 1-1. Yihao’s goal was assisted by Huang Zichang.
Abdul-Aziz Yakubu swiftly restored Wuhan’s lead in the 56th minute with his goal.
However, Wuhan’s lead was short-lived as Djordje Denic of Henan FC equalized to make it 2-2. The goal was assisted by Adrian Mierzejewski.
Wuhan Three Towns then regained control as Marcão scored twice in the 78th and 85th minutes, securing a 4-2 victory and earning all three points for his team.
