Brian Brobbey, a forward from Ghana, had a fantastic game to help Ajax win an important away match against FC Volendam on Sunday.
The 22-year-old player played for 81 minutes as his team secured a convincing 4-1 victory over their opponent at the Kras Stadion, getting back on track with a win.
Brobbey has been a key player for the Dutch giants, scoring many goals for the club throughout the ongoing season.
Ajax took the lead after 25 minutes into the game when Dutch international Kenneth Taylor scored, giving the visitors an advantage going into halftime.
Ajax continued their dominance in the second half, scoring three more goals to secure all three points in the match.
Chuba Akpom, an international player from England, scored in the 59th minute to extend Ajax’s lead, followed by Brobbey who scored his team’s third goal in the 70th minute.
Seven minutes later, Kenneth Taylor scored again to complete his brace in the game, further solidifying Ajax’s lead.
FC Volendam managed to score a consolation goal in the 80th minute through Benaissa Benamar, but it wasn’t enough as the game ended 4-1 in favor of Ajax.
Brobbey has been Ajax’s top performer this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists in 27 games in the Dutch Eredivisie.
