Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Brian Brobbey was among the goal scorers for AFC Ajax Amsterdam on Sunday evening at home to SC Heerenveen.

The bulky striker shone very bright for the club in their 4-1 emphatic win to make it two wins out of their last two matches of the 2023-24 campaign after some poor run of games.

Steven Bergwijn opened the scoring in the first half of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match after he was set up by Steven Berghuis.

After 42 minutes of the match, Brobbey doubled the home team’s lead with a typical strikers goal to make it 2-0 to the Johan Cruyff fathfuls.

Luuk Brouwers grabbed the a consolation goal for the away team one minute to the end of the first half with a beautiful strike to make it 2-1 after 45 minutes.

Chuba Akpom on the 84th and 92nd minutes respectively scored two goals for Ajax as they won the game comfortably in the end.

The 21-year-old forward has four goals and one assist in nine Dutch Eredivisie games this season.
