Ghanaian forward Eugene Ansah was on target for FC Ashdod in their dominant 4-1 victory over Hapoel Hadera in the Israeli Premier League on Saturday.
The 30-year-old Black Stars attacker delivered a standout performance in the Round 30 fixture, helping his side claim all three points at home.
Despite a shaky start that saw Hapoel Hadera take the lead in the 7th minute through Jose Cortes, Ashdod responded immediately. Ansah brought the home side level just a minute later, finishing off a swift attacking move to register his second goal of the campaign.
Israel international Mohamad Kanaan added Ashdod’s second in the 15th minute, giving the hosts a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Ashdod maintained their momentum in the second half, with Kanaan grabbing his brace in the 64th minute to make it 3-1. Noam Mucha capped off the impressive performance with a stoppage-time goal to seal a comprehensive win.
Since joining FC Ashdod in February, Ansah has made 9 league appearances and scored 2 goals.
