Francis Amuzu delivered a splendid goal during Anderlecht’s 3-1 triumph over KV Mechelen in the Belgian top-flight on Saturday evening.

Before the match, the head-to-head record between the teams showed Anderlecht with 11 wins, KV Mechelen with five wins, and nine draws.

Although Francis Amuzu did not start the game at the Lotto Park, he entered the match in the 80th minute as a replacement for Thorgan Hazard.

The home team dominated possession and had more shots on goal during the encounter.

Anderlecht opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Mario Stroeykens’s left-footed shot from the center of the box found the bottom left corner, with an assist from Thorgan Hazard.

In the 60th minute, Kasper Dolberg extended Anderlecht’s lead with a right-footed shot from very close range into the bottom right corner, assisted by Ludwig Augustinsson’s cross.

KV Mechelen managed to pull one back in the 73rd minute, thanks to Nikola Storm’s right-footed shot from the left side of the box, finding the bottom right corner following a fast break.

Anderlecht sealed the victory when substitute Francis Amuzu unleashed a right-footed shot from over 35 yards into the high center of the goal, with an assist from Luis Vázquez during a swift counterattack.
