Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman contributed to the scoring as FC Nordsjaelland and Midtjylland played to an exhilarating 3-3 draw in the Danish Superligaen on Monday afternoon.
Historically, Midtjylland held the upper hand with 24 wins compared to Nordsjaelland’s 15, along with 11 draws between the two teams.
Osman, a pivotal player for Nordsjaelland this season, started the match at the Right to Dream Park and played for 78 minutes. Despite Nordsjaelland’s greater possession, Midtjylland managed more shots on goal.
Osman opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a left-footed strike from the center of the box, assisted by Daniel Svensson. Benjamin Nygren then extended Nordsjaelland’s lead with goals in the 16th and 36th minutes, putting them up 3-0.
Midtjylland began their comeback late in the first half. Franculino Djú scored in the 38th minute, and Mads Bech added another in stoppage time, reducing the deficit to 3-2.
The second half saw both teams creating scoring opportunities, but it was Midtjylland who equalized with Sverrir Ingason’s goal in the 79th minute, securing a 3-3 draw.
Osman, at just 19 years old, has been a standout for Nordsjaelland this season, tallying six goals and seven assists in 28 Superligaen matches.
