Kwadwo Opoku, the Ghanaian forward, has been included in Sofascore’s CONCACAF Champions League team of the week for his outstanding performance against Philadelphia Union.
The 21-year-old, who previously played for the Attram De Visser Academy, helped Los Angeles FC secure a place in the CONCACAF Champions League final by scoring in their 3-0 victory over Philadelphia Union at the BMO Stadium.
Opoku came on as a substitute in the 66th minute, replacing Mateusz Bogusz, and scored his team’s second goal of the game.
LAFC will face either Tigres UANL or Club León of Liga MX in the Cup final, having won the series 4-1 on aggregate.
Opoku has scored two goals in six matches to help his team reach the final, and has also scored once in eight MLS appearances for the Los Angeles-based franchise.
