Kwaku Karikari, the young Ghanaian talent, has received recognition for his outstanding performances in the Serbian Prva Liga.
The 21-year-old has been named the Best Foreign Player of the 2022-23 season in the Serbian Prva Liga.
Karikari emerged victorious over his teammate and fellow Ghanaian, Zubairu Ibrahim, to claim this prestigious award.
In his debut season in the Serbian second-tier league and in Europe, the former Dreams FC forward made an immediate impact and showcased his immense talent. He played a crucial role in Jedinstvo’s fifth-place finish in the league standings.
Karikari’s contributions were remarkable, as he was directly involved in 20 goals throughout the season, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists in 31 games for FK Jedinstvo Ub.
Having joined the club from Liberty Professionals based in Dansoman, Ghana, this season, Karikari’s performances have been exceptional and have earned him well-deserved recognition.
As a result of his impressive displays, Karikari is expected to be included in the Black Meteors squad for the upcoming U23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco, scheduled to take place later this month.
