In the final week of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak will be traveling to Berekum to face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Currently, the Phobians find themselves in the 11th position on the league standings with 45 points after playing 33 games. However, their position is not entirely secure from the threat of relegation.
Berekum Chelsea, who clinched the league title in 2011, currently occupy the 10th spot on the league table. A victory over Hearts of Oak would enable them to move up the ladder and achieve a more respectable position.
Hearts of Oak have endured a challenging period, having suffered defeats in their last four league matches. Their upcoming encounter against Berekum Chelsea presents yet another tough test for the team led by coach David Ocloo.
In the meantime, Ocloo, who took charge as interim manager, has faced the challenge of managing a depleted squad following the departure of Serbian trainer Slavko Matic due to issues with a section of the club’s supporters.
The Berekum-based side expressed their anticipation for the match, referring to it as the “Killer bewu last show” and highlighting the significance of hosting Hearts of Oak at the Golden City Park, where the game is set to take place.
