Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari put in an impressive performance for AC Horsens, despite their narrow 3-2 loss to Odense BK at Nature Energy Park in Denmark’s 1st Division.
Karikari played a key role in AC Horsens’ first goal, delivering a precise pass to Sebastian Pingel in the 25th minute. Pingel found the back of the net, leveling the score and cancelling out an earlier goal from Odense’s Luca Kjerrumgaard.
Odense reclaimed their lead before the break when Jakob Bonde’s deflected shot found its way in, putting the home team back on top. In the 55th minute, Mihajlo Ivancevic extended Odense’s advantage with a powerful header, giving them a two-goal cushion.
But Karikari was not done. Just four minutes later, he headed in a well-placed cross from Mikkel Kallesøe, bringing AC Horsens back into the game at 3-2. Despite their efforts, “the Yellows” couldn’t manage to score another equalizer before the final whistle.
With 15 appearances, three goals, and two assists this season, Karikari has been a bright spot for AC Horsens. The team will aim to turn things around in their upcoming match against HB Køge on November 24.
