Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari is in ecstacy after his first senior team goal this season for Sweden giants Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan this weekend.
The youngster could not hide his excitement and pleasure following his strike in their win over Mjällby AIF.
“We try to be compact. Mjällby has a good team and plays as a team. We have made a good first half and go into the second to kill the match,” he told reporters.
“I try to do everything for the fans and the club. I’m here to give it my all. This is my home. The fans give us good support and we try to continue.”
The young Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari opened his goal account in the Sweden Allsvenskan in Malmo FF’s victory over Mjallby.
Abubakar made his first start of the season after cameo roles in previous matches, and capitalized on the opportunity to grab his first league goal in his team’s 2-0 win on Saturday in the Swedish top-flight.
He scored the opening goal of the match to break the game’s deadlock in the 36th minute after turning home Veljko Birmancevic assist.
Two minutes later Veljko Birmancevic went from provider to scorer as Malmo finished the first half strongly.
He lasted the entire duration as the Swedish giants maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign, sitting second on the table, just a point behind Hammarby.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker has a goal in three matches this season in the Sweden Allsvenskan.
