Young Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari opened his goal account in the Sweden Allsvenskan in Malmo FF’s victory over Mjallby.
Abubakar made his first start of the season after cameo roles in previous matches, and capitalized on the opportunity to grab his first league goal in his team’s 2-0 win on Saturday in the Swedish top flight.
He scored the opening goal of the match to break the game’s deadlock in the 36th minute after turning home Veljko Birmancevic assist.
Two minutes later Veljko Birmancevic went from provider to scorer as Malmo finished the first half strongly.
He lasted the entire duration as the Swedish giants maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign, sitting second on the table, just a point behind Hammarby.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker has a goal in three matches this season in the Sweden Allsvenskan.
