Ghanaian forward Prince Obeng Ampem made a decisive impact off the bench to secure a crucial 2-2 draw for Eyupspor against reigning champions Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League on Sunday.
Eyupspor started strongly, taking the lead in the 13th minute through Emre Akbaba. However, Galatasaray responded before the break, with Baris Alper Yilmaz leveling the score to send both sides into halftime at 1-1.
The champions came out firing in the second half, and Roland Sallai, set up by Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, put Galatasaray ahead in the 47th minute.
Eyupspor turned to Ampem in search of an equalizer, and the 26-year-old Ghanaian wasted no time. Just seven minutes after his introduction, Ampem found the back of the net, marking his first goal of the season in dramatic fashion.
The draw ensures Eyupspor remain in fourth place with 23 points as they continue their impressive campaign in the league. Ampem’s timely contribution highlights his value to the team in crucial moments.
