Ragnar Ache produced a standout performance, netting twice as FC Kaiserslautern secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Jahn Regensburg in Bundesliga 2 action at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
Following a goalless first half, Ache opened the scoring just two minutes after the restart, rising high to head in a pinpoint cross from Florian Kleinhansl. The goal injected momentum into Kaiserslautern, and just four minutes later, Marlon Ritter doubled the lead with a composed finish from close range after a clever assist from Maximilian Bauer.
Ache sealed the victory in the 70th minute with a stunning long-range strike, collecting a pass from Daniel Hanslik before drilling the ball into the bottom left corner. The German-Ghanaian forward, who has now scored 12 league goals this season, was substituted in the 77th minute to a standing ovation from the home crowd.
The win improves Kaiserslautern’s record against Regensburg, leveling their recent meetings at two wins apiece. Up next, they face Elversberg on March 7 as they look to maintain their strong form.
