Ghanaian midfielder Tyrone Owusu delivered an impressive attacking performance, scoring twice for Telstar in their entertaining 2-2 draw against ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Owusu was instrumental in Telstar’s performance at the Sportpark Schoonenberg, finding the back of the net twice in an action-packed first half as both sides shared four goals before the break.
The Ghanaian midfielder opened the scoring in the 14th minute, producing an excellent finish from a free-kick situation to give Telstar the advantage after ADO Den Haag defender Milan Hokke was sent off.
Telstar looked to capitalise on their numerical advantage, but ADO Den Haag responded almost immediately through Yannick Eduardo, who restored parity in the 16th minute.
ADO Den Haag then turned the contest around in the 25th minute when Evan Rottier scored to put the visitors ahead despite playing with ten men.
Owusu, however, had other ideas. The Telstar midfielder struck again in the 37th minute, finding the net for the second time to bring his side level at 2-2 and complete his brace.
His second goal was particularly important for Telstar, who needed a response after falling behind against an opponent reduced to ten men early in the encounter.
Owusu’s two goals highlighted his ability to make decisive contributions in the attacking third, with the Ghanaian demonstrating his threat from set-piece situations and his instinct for finding scoring opportunities.
Despite Telstar’s efforts to secure a winner, neither side managed to add to the scoreline after the four-goal first half, and the encounter ended in a 2-2 draw.
For Owusu, the brace represents a memorable individual performance in the Dutch top flight and further underlines his capacity to influence matches for Telstar.
The Ghanaian midfielder will hope to build on the display in Telstar’s upcoming fixtures as the club continues its Eredivisie campaign.
His performance also provides an encouraging moment for Ghanaian football followers, with the midfielder showcasing his goalscoring ability on the European stage.
