German-born Ghanaian centre-forward Vincent Ocansey, has sealed a loan switch from Arminia Bielefeld to FC Erzgebirge Aue for the second half of the 2025/26 season.

His loan move is part of his ongoing development and experience in the German football league. The loan agreement with Arminia Bielefeld is set to expire on June 30, 2026, after which he will return to FC Erzgebirge Aue.

This move allows Ocansey the 25-year old attacker to gain valuable experience and improve his skills as a player

“Above all, we need impulses, options, and power in the offense,” explains sports director Michael Tarnat about the signing of the 1.93-meter-tall striker.

Ocansey made seven appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga in the first half of the season, otherwise played for Arminia Bielefeld II in the Oberliga Westfalen and also has regional league experience from 42 games for Wuppertaler SV, Türkspor Dortmund and FC Gütersloh.

Meanwhile, the clu says: “FC Erzgebirge Aue will have to do without Julian Günther-Schmidt for the time being. The offensive player suffered a tear of the anterior talofibular ligament in his right ankle during a duel early in the home game against Ulm, making participation in Friday’s match in Havelse impossible.”
