Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC have officially confirmed the contract extension between them and and deputy captain Mohammed Alhassan.

The defender who has a pivot in the club’s recent success on the domestic market scene has been offered a new and improved contract with the Phobians.

He’s now an integral member of the Black Galaxies team and scored in the CHAN qualifiers first round of matches against The Squirrels of Benin.

Read Full Statement Below:

Hearts of Oak has offered its deputy captain Mohammed Alhassan an improved contract for his dedication and good performance at the club over the past years.

Mohammed has been one of the best defenders in the Ghana premier league. The national team player has been very much consistent for both club and country since going the Phobia family from WAFA. The new and improved offer is a reward for his hard work as we continue to expect more from him in the coming season.

“Yes, Alhassan is not just a Hearts player or asset but all football loving people can also attest to the fact that he is a national asset who is very passionate about his work. His dedication and contribution have been highly recommendable and you can not belittle that. He stands out as one of the very best players in our league so it is with no surprise that the coaches, both for his club and country have huge amount of confidence in him. He deserves this for his good works. His works have spoken for him. Said Club Administrator.

Mohammed is amongst the players that coach Samuel Boadu gave time off to take rest after going through the season and playing for the Black Galaxy. Mohammed was on the score sheet for the Galaxy when they defeated Benin in the CHAN qualifiers to book a date with Nigeria in the final qualifier which will be played later this month and early September.

“I am happy here at Hearts of Oak. The club gave me a huge platform which has propelled me to where I find myself now. We have been one great family. The gesture from the club is amazing. What it tells me is that if I continue working hard more of such good gestures will come my way. My dedication and commitment to the club is unwavering. The truth is, my dedication will not be shaken and my love for the club is still high. I thank the club for the improved contract and like I always do, I will continue to do my best for this great club.” Said the committed defender.

Mohammed is one of many valuable materials the club will be counting on when Hearts ventures into the CAF Competition and the new domestic football season.
