Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu is saddened following the relegation of his club Southampton from the English Premier League.
The talented central defender has been battling with injury and has not played for the club February 2023.
Salisu stressed that he is downhearted after his club was relegated but he has assured that they will go all out and book their ticket back to the first tier league.
“We want to assure you that every player and member of our team is determined to come back stronger and better prepared for the next season.” Salisu emphasized.
“Despite the outcome, I am incredibly proud of our team and the effort that each and every player put in throughout the season. We know that there are many lessons to be learned and improvements to be made. We are grateful for each and every one of our fans.”
“Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time. We will continue to work hard and strive for excellence in everything we do.”
Salisu could also leave Southampton this simmer with Newcastle and Atletico Madrid all after his signature.
