Charles Taylor, the former playmaker for Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, has expressed his support for the re-election of GFA President Kurt Okraku.
As Kurt Okraku’s first term as President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) approaches its end in October, the federation is preparing for elections.
Having observed Okraku’s work as a ‘game changer’ over the past four years, Charles Taylor is impressed and believes he should be given another four years to continue transforming the country’s football.
“I would like Kurt Okraku to continue serving as the GFA President for the next few years. I believe he should run unopposed,” Taylor stated during an interview on Angel TV.
Currently, it remains uncertain whether Okraku will face any opposition in the upcoming elections.
However, reports suggest that Bernard Amofa Jantuah from Berekum Chelsea has expressed his willingness to compete for the position.
Additionally, former Vice President of the GFA, George Afriyie, is expected to announce his candidacy in the following weeks.
