Austria’s Bundesliga team, Red Bull Salzburg, has decided to extend the contract of the talented Ghanaian midfielder, Forson Amankwah.
The announcement came on Monday, October 16, following Amankwah’s impressive performance in the 2023/24 football season.
In this new contract, Forson Amankwah has chosen to remain with Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2027. The club officially stated, “We have extended Amankwah Forson’s contract early until June 30, 2027.”
The statement further explained, “The 20-year-old Ghanaian joined us from his hometown in Salzburg during the 2021 winter transfer period. He initially played in the U18 team of the Red Bull Academy (5 games, 3 goals) and at the affiliated club FC Liefering (29 matches, 6 goals, 8 assists).”
During the current season, Forson Amankwah has participated in 9 matches for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring two goals and contributing two assists.
He is steadily evolving into a vital player for the team and is expected to play significant roles in various competitions as Red Bull Salzburg aims to secure victories.
