Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana says he is looking forward to getting better under one of the best managers in the world in Claudio Ranieri in the 2023/24 season.
The 20-year-old bid his farewell to Hellas Verona this summer after playing a major part in the club avoiding relegation and remaining in Serie A last season.
Sulemana penned a long-term deal with Cagliari in July which will see him stay at the club until 2027.
And the midfielder says he is looking forward to getting better under the Italian manager.
“I am a player who always loves to learn and improve my potential,” he told Joy Sports in an interview.
“It’s a privilege to work under one of the best Italian coaches in the world and I appreciate it a lot.”
After 32 years, Ranieri returned to Cagliari as Fabio Liverani’s replacement on January 1. However, his predecessor left him with a lot of work to do in order to get the Islanders back into Italy’s top division.
When the former Premier League champion joined in January, they were ranked 14th in the standings. After just one season in the second level, Ranieri ensured the team’s promotion to the Serie A.
