Ghanaian midfielder Kelvin Ofori delivered a standout performance for FK Spartak Trnava, scoring in their 2-0 victory over MFK Skalica in the Slovakian Nike Liga on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a precise pass from Czech midfielder Milos Kratochvil after sustained dominance from the hosts.
Trnava doubled their lead just before halftime when Nigerian forward Philip Azango converted a well-placed assist from Erik Daniel, giving the home side a comfortable advantage at the City Arena Trnava.
The win solidified Spartak Trnava’s third-place position on the league table with 30 points, keeping them seven points behind the top spot as the season progresses.
Ofori has been in sensational form this season, tallying seven goals in 12 league matches. Additionally, he has found the net once in three Slovak Cup appearances, underlining his importance to the team.
