Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo continued his impressive form for IF Elfsborg by scoring a goal and providing an assist for the second consecutive match in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
This dynamic performance contributed to Elfsborg’s 3-2 victory over IFK Norrkoping at the Boras Arena, maintaining their lead in the Swedish league.
In the 11th minute of the game, midfielder Ahmed Qasem found the back of the net with an assist from Baidoo, granting Elfsborg an early advantage.
Baidoo himself doubled the lead for the home team shortly thereafter, as he capitalized on a setup from defender Niklas Hult.
The second half began with Danish midfielder Jeppe Okkels extending the lead for Elfsborg, with an assist from Qasem.
Despite Norrkoping’s efforts, they managed to score consolation goals through Marco Lund and Vito Hammershoy-Mistrati in the 68th and 83rd minutes, respectively.
Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng was in the starting lineup for Elfsborg and played until the 86th minute when he was replaced by Noah Soderberg.
With this performance, Baidoo’s goal tally for the season reaches three, along with five assists in 20 appearances in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
