Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini is set to join Birmingham City on loan from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, after an impressive spell in Belgium.
The 24-year-old, according to Flashscore, is already in England and scheduled to undergo medicals this Monday.
He will be monitored for the season and if he impresses manager Chris Davies, the deal could be made permanent in an initial three-year agreement.
Fuseini joined Union in 2024 from Austrian club Sturm Graz after impressing during a loan spell with Danish side Randers.
The Ghanaian enjoyed a highly successful first season in Brussels, helping Union Saint-Gilloise win the Belgian Pro League title and end a 90-year wait for the championship. He also featured in the UEFA Champions League as the club returned to European football’s elite competition.
Fuseini added another major honour to his collection when Union won the Belgian Cup, giving him three significant trophies during his time with the club.
His move to Birmingham comes after the Championship side made an unbeaten start to the new campaign.
Birmingham have collected five points from their opening three league matches and strengthened their promotion credentials with a 2-1 victory over Wrexham at the weekend.
Fuseini is expected to provide another attacking option as Birmingham look to build on their positive start and mount a strong challenge in the Championship.
The 24-year-old has also started the current season positively with Union, providing two assists before scoring a spectacular curling effort against Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
His departure from Union follows interest from several clubs, with Birmingham ultimately emerging as his preferred destination. The move will give the Ghanaian an opportunity to test himself in English football while joining a Birmingham side with promotion ambitions.
