Ghanaian-born English centre-back Samuel Amissah has joined Portuguese top-flight side Estoril Praia on a season-long loan from Fulham FC.
The 19-year-old defender, who holds English and Ghanaian heritage, is set to continue his development in Portugal after securing a temporary move to Estoril Praia.
Amissah began his youth development at Brentford before making the switch to Fulham, where he quickly progressed through the club’s academy system.
The centre-back made his Fulham Under-21 debut at just 17 years old, an indication of the confidence the London club has placed in his potential.
During his time with Fulham’s youth setup, Amissah played an important role as the team enjoyed success, gaining valuable experience against some of the best young talents in English football.
