German Bundesliga side, VfL Bochum have signed German-born Ghanaian midfielder, Moritz-Broni Kwarteng.
The 25-year-old midfielder has completed his transfer from FC Magdeburg, a second-tier club. Kwarteng has signed a contract with Castroper Strabe until 2027.
Born in Stuttgart, Kwarteng underwent training at esteemed clubs such as VfB Stuttgart, RB Leipzig, and TSG Hoffenheim.
He took his initial steps in professional football with Hamburger SV, featuring in 69 matches and making his debut in the second division of the Hanseatic League.
In total, he amassed 72 appearances for HSV, contributing 27 points during his time there. Kwarteng finally found his breakthrough in Magdeburg.
Having played 43 competitive games for FC Magdeburg, Kwarteng played a significant role in 23 goals.
He has achieved his greatest sporting successes with the Magdeburg team so far, including winning the third division championship and earning promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2021/22 season, as well as clinching the state cup in Saxony-Anhalt.
In the recently concluded 2022/23 season, the German-Ghanaian enjoyed a personal best, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 29 second division matches.
