Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim delivered an outstanding performance on Saturday, scoring twice to inspire Slovan Bratislava to a commanding 3-0 victory over Spartak Trnava in the Slovak top flight at the City Arena Trnava.
The 22-year-old played a decisive role in the away side’s triumph, showcasing his attacking quality and growing influence as Slovan Bratislava continued their domestic campaign.
Ibrahim opened the scoring in the 19th minute, capitalising on a well-timed pass from Gambian winger Suleiman Camara to put the visitors ahead.
Slovan Bratislava maintained their pressure and extended their advantage in the 34th minute when forward Adam Griger found the back of the net. Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan provided the assist for the second goal, giving the visitors a comfortable lead before the break.
Despite their two-goal advantage, Slovan Bratislava remained focused after the restart, controlling proceedings and limiting their opponents’ chances of mounting a comeback.
Ibrahim put the result beyond doubt in the 80th minute, completing his brace after receiving a pass from Bosnian midfielder Alen Mustafic. His second goal capped an impressive individual display and secured all three points for the visitors.
The Ghanaian’s latest contribution takes his tally to four goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season, highlighting his growing importance to the Slovakian champions.
His ability to contribute goals from midfield will be a major boost for Slovan Bratislava as they pursue their objectives in domestic competitions.
For Ibrahim, the brace represents another important step in his development at the club. His consistent contributions in front of goal could strengthen his position in the team as the season progresses.
With four goals already recorded this campaign, the Ghanaian midfielder will be hoping to maintain his impressive form and continue making a strong impression in European football.
