Ghanaian central midfielder Brendan Wiredu has won the 2022 Colchester PFA Community Award.
The award is decided upon by the Colchester area community and is given to the player who has plated a leading role in the club’s efforts-engaging with supporters and young people in the local area while representing the club.
Wiredu was pleased with the award which was handed to him before the game with Stevenage on Saturday.
“Humbled to have been awarded the PFA Community Champion Award.” He stated.
Wiredu has made 33 League 2 appaearnces this season providing three assists.
