On December 5, 2023, Ghanaian youngster Ali Fadal marked his senior debut for Spanish side Valencia in their Copa del Rey match against lower-tier side Arosa SC.
The 19-year-old midfielder entered the game in the 71st minute, replacing fellow debutant Marco Camus, contributing to Valencia’s 1-0 victory in the Spanish Cup’s second-round fixture under the management of Ruben Baraja.
Fadal, a product of Valencia Mestalla, left an impression during his 19 minutes on the pitch, leaving fans eager to witness more of his talents in senior matches. The lone goal of the game was scored by Ukrainian Roman Yarechuk in the eighth minute, securing Valencia’s progression to the next round of the Copa del Rey.
While this marked Ali Fadal’s official debut with Valencia, he had previously showcased his skills in friendlies. In December 2022, during the Qatar World Cup break, he played against Leeds U21 and Clermont.
Additionally, he was on the bench during the preseason victory against Nottingham Forest later in the summer.
