On Sunday, Ibrahim Sulemana Kakari, the Ghanaian midfielder, played a crucial role in helping Hellas Verona secure their survival in the Italian Serie A by defeating Spezia Calcio in the play-off match.
Sulemana started the game and played the entire duration as Hellas Verona comfortably won 3-1 against Spezia, ensuring their continued presence in the top-flight league.
Despite facing some injuries during his debut Serie A season, Sulemana has become an influential figure for Hellas Verona, and his performance in this match was instrumental in helping his team avoid relegation to Serie B.
Hellas Verona took the lead through Marco Davide in the fifth minute of the match, but Spezia quickly equalized with a goal from Ethan Ampadu in the 15th minute.
However, Hellas Verona regained the advantage in the 26th minute when Belgium international Cyril Ngonge found the back of the net. Ngonge then scored his second goal of the match in the 38th minute, sealing the victory for Verona.
With no further goals in the game, Hellas Verona secured a comfortable victory, ensuring their survival in Serie A for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, Sulemana’s compatriot Emmanuel Gyasi did not feature in the match for his team, which unfortunately suffered defeat and will be relegated to Serie B.
