Ibrahim Sulemana, the Ghanaian international, expressed his delight after playing a crucial role in helping Hellas Verona secure their survival on Sunday.
Sulemana started the match and played the entire duration as his team cruised to a 3-1 victory over Spezia, ensuring their stay in the top-flight league.
Despite encountering a few injuries during his debut Serie A season, Sulemana has become a key figure for Hellas Verona.
The dynamic midfielder played a significant part today in helping his team avoid relegation to Serie B. He took to Twitter and wrote, “SEE YOU NEXT SEASON,” reflecting his excitement and anticipation for the future.
Hellas Verona took an early lead through Marco Davide, scoring just five minutes into the game, but Spezia equalized in the 15th minute courtesy of Ethan Ampadu.
However, Hellas Verona quickly regained control of the match when Belgium international Cyril Ngonge found the back of the net in the 26th minute, extending their lead.
In the 38th minute, Cyril Ngonge completed his brace, sealing the victory for Verona.
With no further goals in the match, Hellas Verona comfortably secured the win, successfully avoiding relegation and earning their place in Serie A for the next season.
