Abednego Tetteh, the former Ghana Premier League Golden Boot winner, has made a move to FC Hoyvik in the Faroe Islands, a second-tier club.
Tetteh, who was the league’s top scorer in the previous season, has already made an impact with two appearances and one goal for his new team.
This transfer follows his departure from Bibiani Goldstars at the end of the last season in the Ghana Premier League.
Tetteh’s decision to leave the Ghanaian top flight was influenced by what he perceived as disrespect from the Ghana Football Association. He received a prize of a GHC5,000 voucher for a dental visit despite winning the Golden Boot.
Additionally, Tetteh contemplated retirement after not receiving an invitation to join the Black Stars, despite his impressive achievement as the Golden Boot winner with 18 goals.
