LASK Linz’s victory over Sturm Graz in round 24 of the Austria Bundesliga on Sunday was greatly aided by Ghanaian striker Ibrahim Mustapha.
The game began at a slow pace with both sides struggling to score in the first half. However, the second half saw more action with Sturm Graz’s Alexander Prass opening the scoring in the 48th minute with an assist from Albian Ajeti.
In the 60th minute, Marin Ljubicic was replaced by Mustapha, who made an immediate impact by scoring the equalizer for LASK Linz in the 71st minute. Mustapha went on to assist Keito Nakamura’s winning goal in the 79th minute, securing all three points for his team.
Mustapha has now recorded two goals and two assists in seven league games for LASK Linz this season, highlighting his increasing importance to the team.
