Ghanaian striker Ibrahim Sadiq has disclosed that he is set to undergo a mandatory medical assessment at AZ Alkmaar, a club competing in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The transfer, secured for slightly over $4 million, is poised to bring the 23-year-old former Right to Dream academy graduate to AFAS Stadion’s team. This transfer is contingent upon a positive evaluation from the medical staff at the Dutch club.
Verifying the specific date for his medical examination with the prominent Dutch club, the former FC Nordsjaelland standout conveyed his thoughts to Football Channel, stating, “It’s true, they want to sign me. I have a medical examination tomorrow Monday. I have received permission to go and will be back on Tuesday to then travel with the team on Wednesday.”
On the upcoming Thursday, BK Hacken is slated to face Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen F.C in the second leg of the Europa League playoffs. As indicated by Sadiq, this match will mark his farewell appearance for the Swedish Allsvenskan team. He stated, “It will be my last match,” he stated.
During the current transfer window, both Lech Poznan and BSC Young Boys from the Swiss Super League expressed interest in acquiring his services.
Since making the move from FC Nordsjaelland to BK Hacken in 2022, the forward has participated in 42 matches in the Swedish football top-tier. During this period, he has impressively netted 25 goals and contributed with 8 assists.
