Kerala Blasters’ Ghanaian international Kwame Peprah was in stunning form as his team crushed Mumbai City 8-0 in the Indian Durand Cup.
The former King Faisal star netted an impressive hat-trick, helping his team to a resounding victory.
Peprah’s brilliant performance began with two goals in the first half, before he sealed his hat-trick in the second half. The 23-year-old Ghanaian attacker, who joined Kerala Blasters in August 2023, has quickly established himself as a key member of the team.
The match began with a slow start, with Morocco international Noah Sadaoui opening the scoring for Kerala Blasters in the 32nd minute. However, Peprah took center stage soon after, firing home two goals before the halftime break to give his team a commanding lead.
The second half saw Kerala Blasters continue their dominance, with Noah Sadaoui grabbing his second goal of the match just five minutes into the second half. Peprah then sealed his hat-trick in the 53rd minute, before Noah Sadaoui scored again to seal his own hat-trick.
In the final minutes of the match, India international Ishan Pandita scored two quick goals to seal victory for Kerala Blasters. The 8-0 win was a comprehensive victory for the visitors, and it marked a significant milestone for Peprah, who has now netted three goals in two consecutive matches.
