Ghanaian international Kwame Peprah has expressed his delight after scoring his first hat-trick for Indian outfit Kerala Blasters in a thrilling 8-0 win over Mumbai City in the Indian Durand Cup.

The former King Faisal star netted a remarkable hat-trick, scoring three goals in the match to propel his team to a comprehensive victory.

Peprah took to social media to express his excitement, writing: “What a way to score my first hat-trick for Blasters. Grateful to the amazing fans for their support. More to come” on Instagram.

The match got underway with both teams looking to assert their dominance. However, it was Kerala Blasters who drew first blood through Morocco international Noah Sadaoui’s goal in the 32nd minute mark. Peprah then took center stage, scoring twice before the halftime break to give his team a commanding lead.

The visitors continued their dominance in the second half, with Sadaoui scoring his second goal of the match just five minutes into the second half. Peprah then fired home his third goal of the match in the 53rd minute mark, sealing his hat-trick and capping off an impressive individual performance.

As the match neared its conclusion, Morocco international Noah Sadaoui scored his third goal of the match, sealing his hat-trick just like Peprah in the thrilling encounter. India international Ishan Pandita then scored two quick goals to wrap up the scoring for Kerala Blasters.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian attacker joined Kerala Blasters in August 2023 and has since established himself as a key member of the team. His impressive performance against Mumbai City will undoubtedly give him confidence ahead of future matches.
